Dear Alessandra, I assure you that my memories of Umbria will be lovely! (I'll bury those others!) The services you and your crew provided were exemplary. Ann and I were saying tonight, now that we're back in Rome, how important it was to have that first-class treatment. (Something that we had never been able to afford before in our travels!) As for the refund, Thank you, but I'd prefer to leave it for tips to Maurizio (especially, because I gave him some but not enough) and Elio. They both gave us such care. I'd love to give some to each guide, too, but it will be used up too soon; so I leave that to your discretion. I will write a glowing review! Ciao. David

We even managed to squeeze in a few minutes at the St. Maria Angeli Basilica before reaching the station. This was the best part of our 25 days tour of Austria and Italy and the credit goes to you. We were very fortunate in having had 4 consecutive days of tours that were hosted by either Michele or Alessandra. The two of them are so very passionate about their work. They love their region and it shows. The knowledge, the lore, the architecture, the geography, that they share is so insightful. There were times that we our eyes were moistening from their vivid descriptions and narratives. Alessandra knew that we were visiting many sites while we were staying in Umbria, so she had packets made up for us on the first day. The packets included maps and detailed instructions as to where to meet and information of each town that we were to visit. The towns were Assisi, Orvieto, Perugia and Spoleto. They were on time, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, interesting, easy to understand as their command of the English language is excellent. We were fortunate in that we ended up having private tours each day. This made the tours all the better. You can ask so many more questions, hear everything that is going on, go at a pace that suits us. We felt bad leaving Umbria behind. But we felt that we left good friends in the process. By the way, Michele, Jim and I did hike to the Hermitage! It was a breathtaking and humbling experience.
