1 Day Arrival – Todi

Pick up at the airport and transfer. Accommodation at your hotel in Todi. Free time. Dinner and overnight.

2 Day Orvieto

Start from Orvieto at 10 am. You will have a charming walk throughout splendid alleys, underground Etruscan cisterns and wine cellars. The Duomo of the city will impress you with its mosaics and Renaissance frescoes. Your tour will end up at around 1 pm. In the afternoon you will go to a winery for a wine tasting. Famous of Orvieto area is Orvieto Classico D.O.C. wine. At 6.00 pm you will be back at your hotel in Todi.

Highlights: Orvieto - Saint Patrick’s well, Duomo, Piazza del Popolo. Local winery.

3 Day Todi – Montecastelvibio

In the morning you will visit Todi, a charming medieval town famous for its central square. After free time for lunch you will go to Montecastelvibio for visiting the smallest theatre in the world (end of the 19th C.). Typical dinner.

Highlights: Tempio della Consolazione, Piazza del Popolo. Montecastelvibio: Concordia theatre.

4 Day Bevagna and “Lavandeto”

Today you will move to a new hotel located in Bevagna, one of the most charming villages of Umbria. There you will meet with your private guide. In the afternoon you will visit a local farm producing different types of rare lavender and herbs to enjoy the hours before sunset working lavender for making clothing perfumers. That’s really something you cannot miss! Typical dinner.

Highlights: Bevagna - Palazzo Comunale, Church of Saint Silvestro, Church of Saint Michael. Lavender farm “Il Lavandeto”.

5 Day Spoleto

Spoleto is worldwide famous for the Festival Dei Due Mondi and it’s a city rich of cultural events and atmosphere. You will visit it’s cathedral and you will also enjoy a nice walk on the Ponte Delle Torri. After a light lunch/tasting of typical local products you will have some free time in the afternoon.

Highlights: Duomo S. Maria Assunta, Ponte Delle Torri, lunch – tasting.

6 Day Montefalco - Spello

During your tour you will visit a local winery and you will have another wine tasting there (Rosso di Montefalco and Sagrantino wines). Cities are of course interesting to see too. They belong to the so called hill towns of Umbria and as it follows views from there are gorgeous. You won’t miss art admiring Renaissance frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli from Florence together with those by Pinturicchio from Perugia.

Highlights: Spello - Cappella Bella by Pinturicchio. Montefalco - Frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli in Saint Francis Church. Winery at Montefalco’s area.

7 Day Assisi

Today you will leave your hotel at Bevagna for moving to Perugia. During the day you will visit Assisi. As soon as you arrive to Assisi you will get immerged in a medieval atmosphere and you will get lost among old churches, little corners decorated by plants and flowers, narrow alleys and Roman ruins. The city is the town of Saint Francis and Saint Claire of Assisi and of course you will also be on their footsteps. You will discover the city also from a “Franciscan” point of view! Typical dinner at Perugia.

Highlights: Basilica of Saint Francis, Basilica of Saint Claire, Roman Ruins.

8 Day Gubbio

This day is dedicated to Gubbio which is an old town surrounded by mountains and well known for its stone houses. It’s also the city of a typical festival which drives local people crazy every year on May 15th. The festival’s name is Corsa dei Ceri and it consists of a kind of running race by carrying candle like wooden statues celebrating patron saints. In Gubbio you will have a typical lunch based on truffle.

Highlights: Basilica of Saint Ubaldo (with the Ceri), Palazzo Dei Consoli, Fountain of the mad people.

9 Day Perugia

Perugia is the capital of Umbria and it is a town where you could spend even more days. It is a town founded centuries ago which still preserves old Etruscan gates and city walls. On its central square you will get lost in the symbolism of the Fontana Maggiore and then you will have a nice walk on the city old aqueduct for reaching an old textile factory where Marta, a young lady, still works by hand using old looms. During your day you will also have the chance of enjoying paintings by Perugino, one of the greatest Italian artist of Italian Renaissance.

Highlights: Etruscan Ruins, Fontana Maggiore, Collegio del Cambio with paintings by Perugino, Traditional Textile Factory

10 Day Departure

Transfer back to the airport.
