Meet the guide at the upper end of Orvieto's funicular and start your tour admiring some great views from the walls of the fortress. You will walk along Corso Cavour to reach the central Piazza della Repubblica and the old church of St. Andrea. A short walk and you will enter the medieval district, an area of charming little alleys and stone houses. Here you will visit the underground area of “Pozzo della Cava”, with the impressive hand made tunnels and the 36 meters deep etruscan well.
Once you finished the underground tour, you will walk to the edge of the city; from the top of the cliffs you will admire stunning views on the rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive trees. Walking along the ancient walls of Orvieto you will enjoy many points of view on the countryside and the brown coloured medieval town.
The next stop will be the cathedral and its amazing facade. Your guide will give you all the information about the mosaics, the sculptures and the history of the church before taking you inside the huge building. You will visit every part of the church, with a special focus on the beautiful San Brizio chapel, decorated by the reinassance artist Luca Signorelli. His frescoes are considered one of the most sensational works of art in Italy.
You will enjoy a typical lunch in a restaurant in Orvieto city center.
After lunch, a private car with driver will be waiting for you to take you to te world famous town of Civita di Bagnoregio. During the 30 minutes drive you can admire the rolling hills, the vineyards and the beautiful countryside of central Italy.

You will see the tiny village standing on top of a steep hill, in the middle of an incredible clay valley. From here you will walk down to the entrance of a long bridge, the only way to get inside the town. Once you entered Civita, you will explore the pictoresque cobblestone streets, the little squares and the viewpoints of this unique place.
After the tour of Civita your driver will take you back to Orvieto in a place at your choice (train station or anywhere in the city center).
