We spent two and a half days with Michele in Perugia, Assisi, Spello and Orvieto. When we were in the places where all the tourists visit, his personal and private conversations gave them added dimension unavailable on mass tours. It was also nice to have his local view point on places to eat, shop and even a personal recommendation on Perusia's best gelato. He starts with the big historic picture and finishes with small details that give real life to the stories. Michele even gave us a great recommendation to visit Bagnoregio on our own after we parted ways in Orvieto. In Siena, Barbara had a similar gift for illuminating history with personal stories and experiences. It was as if you have a good friend who lives in the city, showing you the most fun and interesting places.

We were visiting in Umbria and my husband found this tour. As it turned out, there were just 4 of us, so it was a nice small group. I'm not sure if her name was Michelle, but she was a terrific guide, married with kids and her husband is in the business too. Anyway, she was so knowledgeable and passionate about her city. Obviously very well educated about the history of the sites we saw. We've taken a number of tours all over the world and she ranked up at the top. It was easy to meet up. It was a hike and you end up at the other end of the city, away from where we met. But we had a delightful lunch mid-way back so it wasn't so bad. You do finish up near 1:30 so we had to hustle to get to lunch in time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guide and this tour. We would have missed out on so much if we had wandered around by ourselves.

Carissima Alessandra questa è telepatia. Questa parte dell'Umbria è piaciuta moltissimo.... per : la guida Giorgia che è stata molto brava ad illustrare e spiegare e... con molta pazienza con tutti noi. Poi il tempo che è stato molto bello ..un po' caldo. Le scosse di quel giorno ( sabato alle 12.15 ) non le abbiamo sentite per nulla. Buon pomeriggio Alessandra, anche ieri è stata una bella esperienza. Michele è riuscito ad incuriosire i ragazzi e a creare un bel clima così diversi alunni gli hanno rivolto domande e si sono appassionati. Il percorso svolto è stato interessante e molto movimentato. L'unico problema è stato il non aver comunicato a voi le condizioni di salute di uno degli accompagnatori che, di conseguenza, si è dovuto fermare diverse volte. Per il futuro, se dovessero esserci dei casi simili, li comunicheremo in anticipo in modo da definire il percorso adatto. Grazie ancora di tutto. E' davvero un piacere collaborare con voi. Gentili signori, anche se è trascorsa già più di una settimana dal nostro rientro dalla gita in Umbria, desidero, anche a nome dei miei colleghi, congratularmi e insieme ringraziare per la professionalità e la grande disponibilità che avete manifestato nelle due giornate in cui abbiamo potuto usufruire dei servizi da voi offerti. Alessandra came up with a tailored tour for me that was just beautiful.. Olive oil making, winery, two medieval towns (Bevagna and Montefalco). It was lovely seeing the Autumn countryside and hearing about the history of the places from my very well versed tour guide. Ale is also a pleasure to be with - an added bonus! Happy New Year ☺️ Sarah
